Founded in 2005, our Company is based in a customs area 30Km north of Dominican Republic, capital city.
Dominican Republic is a 50,000Km island in the Caribbean area with good infrastructures (Seven Freight Ports, Motorsways and airports) and with a relatively well develoed industry manufacturing local agricultural products
We chose Dominican Republic to build our plant for natural cold pressed manufacturing of vegetable oils because the island has typical microclimate that varies from mountanous area (a mountain range crosses it longitudinally with a highest peak of 3,200mts) to almost desert lands till cultivated fields that are especially fertile thanks to an extended and rich hydrographical system.
Amongst the most extensive cultivations, there are coconut palm (3a producer in the Caribbean area) and avocado (3a producer in the world)
Dominican Republic can boast a variety of around 1,000 plants; many of them (at least 400) are used in traditional medicine because of their appreciated qualities.
Actual manufacturing lines of Quebra Pedra, are the following:
>Press Line for Coconut oil extraction
>Press Line for seed oils extraction
>Processing Line (Alfa Laval) for avocado oil production
>Small Press for oils extration for test
All our oils are manufactured by cold natural process, then centrifuged, go by vacuum process and filtered by clothes and cartons. We produce crude oils only and no solvents are used in the manufacturing.
Our plant has its own Lab equipped to tes starting raw material, check oil qualities during each step of manufacturing and the final produc.
Final product can be packed in drums or IBC (1,000 litres) and we are equipped for bulk loading in 22 tons tankers or flexitank.
The Company is certified by International Organic Authority Suolo e Salute that has a branch in the Dominican Republic
